Baroque Walnut Cabinet With Piedmont Maple Inlays, Second Half Of The 18th Century

A Baroque drop-front chest made of Piedmont walnut from the second half of the 18th century, featuring a refined pattern of maple inlay. The delicately curved front features two drawers with elegant scroll and leaf motifs, which are repeated on the rounded side posts, the sides, and the upper drop-down door. The upper flap is supported by two pull-out rods, revealing an internal storage compartment consisting of an open shelf and six drawers. The four legs and the carved, scalloped apron add a further touch of elegance. The interior is made of poplar. The bronze handles and vent grilles add a precious detail to this antique piece.
