French piece from the Napoleon III period (second half of the 19th century)
The marquetry and patina are in beautiful original condition. Some slight scuffs and signs of wear on the blackened legs. A slender, lightweight structure with a slight amount of play typical of these small freestanding pieces; perfectly stable when placed on the floor, intended for light decorative use.
