Bronze - Salammbô - signed A. Lefebvre (19th – early 20th century) Bronze bust with a brown patina depicting Salammbô, the famous heroine of Gustave Flaubert's novel. Created by A. Lefebvre, a sculptor active in the late 19th century. The work was cast using the LV casting technique – “Victorian Liaison,” a process developed by Victorien Lefebvre, allowing for excellent detail reproduction and a high-quality surface finish. Bronze numbered 2424, bearing the LV casting mark on the base. Please note that the patina is slightly worn on the nose. On display at Galerie Courcelles Antiquités, 97 rue de Courcelles, in the 17th arrondissement of Paris.
