- In the center: A large white circular medallion adorned with a woven floral basket (Hanakago) from which peonies and chrysanthemums spill out.
- On the wing and the rim: An alternating pattern of large cloud-shaped cartouches.They depict delicate Japanese cranes in flight (symbols of longevity) as well as leaping hares or rabbits amid stylized foliage.
