Exceptional finely chased and gilded bronze chandelier, attributed to Henri Dasson (1825–1896), crafted in the 19th century after the prestigious model by Pierre Gouthière for Marie-Antoinette’s apartments at the Palace of Versailles.
The composition features a rich decoration of musical putti surrounding a fluted central shaft, accompanied by elegant light arms adorned with foliage, acanthus leaves, rosettes, and floral motifs.
A comparable piece is housed in Marie-Antoinette’s Cabinet Doré at the Palace of Versailles.
