A very beautiful animal-motif cane from the late 19th century, likely French, with a remarkable pommel carved in the round depicting a bulldog’s head with its mouth open.
The pommel features a particularly expressive carving, with numerous details, exposed teeth, and applied eyes. It is mounted on a bamboo shaft with a beautiful antique patina.
