Ernest Appolinaire Damé (1845–1920) French sculptor known for his mythological subjects, his allegorical works, and his animal sculptures.
A student of Francisque Duret, Eugène-Louis Lequesne, Eugène Guillaume, and Jules Cavelier at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris, Ernest Damé received a second-class medal at the 1875 Salon des Artistes Français, a third-class medal at the 1878 World’s Fair, and a bronze medal at the1900 World’s Fair.
