An elegant pair of lidded Sèvres porcelain vases, with a cobalt-blue background enhanced by rich gilded decoration.
The bodies feature delicate, hand-painted galant scenes depicting figures in romantic landscapes. The reverse side is adorned with lakeside landscapes framed by delicate floral motifs and gilded scrollwork.
Each vase is adorned with an elaborate gilded bronze mount: slender handles with foliage decoration, collars, lids topped with a pinecone-shaped knob, and molded octagonal bases. The set rests on an elegant blue porcelain pedestal decorated with gold.
