Ciboure Vase/pitcher
Neo-Greek-style Ciboure stoneware pitcher – Étienne Vilotte
Elegant Ciboure stoneware pitcher, with a rounded shape, a side handle, and a spout. It features a painted decoration in the Neo-Greek style, consisting of stylized birds with long legs, surrounded by plant motifs, in a beautiful palette of ochre, brown, and black tones.
The neck, finished in black, contrasts with the warm earth tones and accentuates the pitcher’s silhouette.
The marks of the Ciboure workshop and of Étienne Vilotte, founder of the Ciboure pottery, appear on the base.
