Very large glazed lava tile with an abstract design by the painter Pierre Sicre St Paul, born in 1926 in the Hautes-Pyrénées. A French ceramist and tapestry designer, he was an abstract painter, close to Surrealism in the 1960s and 70s. A friend of Greschny and Jean Lurçat, he also associated with André Marfaing and met Dalí and Picasso in the 1950s. This superbly framed tile is a beautiful representation of his immense talent. In very good condition! Dimensions: 66 x 56 cm and 54 x 43 cm. Visually magnificent! (very heavy)
