Antique Hand-cut Crystal Pitcher- Italy Middle Age
Antique crystal pitcher made of heavy, thick crystal, hand-cut, and decorated with a motif of sinuous ridges that run spirally along the entire body.
There are a few small imperfections along the protruding ridges(see the last two photos) caused by minor impacts over time. Nothing that significantly compromises either its appearance or its functionality.
No markings present.
The wide shape, the hot-formed handle, and the open spout suggest an Italian production from the mid-20th century, specifically from the glassworks of Empoli.
The technical and stylistic characteristics allow for a plausible attribution to the Empoli glassworks, though this cannot be confirmed.
