Bona Watch With Date Hand Complication - Day-of-the-week Bezel Noy26mon001

Artist: Bona
BONA Watch – gold-plated case (serviced) – pointer calendar with date and day of the week NOY26MON001

The BONA trademark was registered on May 30, 1930, by Paul Seefeld / Uhrenfabrik Supera, based in La Chaux-de-Fonds (Switzerland) and Annemasse (France). It covers the manufacture and sale of watches and watch components. Hailing from the cradle of Swiss watchmaking, BONA is known for producing high-quality mechanical watches from the 1930s to the 1950s.

An elegant watch for men (or women, if they so desire…) with beautiful proportions.
A fine creation by BONA from the 1950s.
A fine watch, fully serviced by a professional watchmaker.
All original parts.

A watch of just the right size, suitable for everyday wear—a timeless model…

Dimensions – measurements
Case 37 × 42 mm excluding the crown (including lugs)
Thickness 10 mm
Lug-to-lug distance 19 mm
Maximum strap length 21 cm (wrist circumference)

Movement – Mechanical
Hand-wound movement, in excellent condition, no signs of oxidation or internal moisture.
17 jewels – Swiss movement.

This watch is running well; it has been serviced by a professional and expert watchmaker.
Watch has been tested; it has a good power reserve and remains fairly accurate for several hours after winding.

Please note: with vintage watches, buyers should expect to have the watch adjusted for gain or loss—a procedure that must be performed exclusively by a professional at the buyer’s expense. In fact, during shipping (even though the package will be fully protected), this simple, standard adjustment may become necessary, even though the watch has already been serviced.

Dial and hands

Aged cream/champagne-colored dial.
Markings: “BONA – 17 JEWELS – SYSTEME SUISSE.”

Crescent-shaped hand indicating the day of the month (1–31).
Rotating bezel operating the inner crown marked “MOD SUISSE DEP” (registered Swiss model) for the day of the week.

Dial in good overall condition (shows general wear).

Original hands in good condition.

Crown
Original, functional for setting the time, winding, and updating the date through successive rotations (no direct date adjustment).
In good condition with signs of use.

Case and bezel
Original fine gold-plated case, showing scratches, micro-scratches, and wear on the plating; however, it appears in good condition and consistent with its age—see photos.

Original rotating bezel (calendar system; external rotation for internal indicator; internal rotating disc at the dial level)

Case Back
Original steel case back, undistorted and without any inscriptions.

Crystal
Needs replacement, but still functional and unpierced (scratches and two cracks).
Service offered: crystal replacement for €40 (to be paid separately from the sale).

Strap
New from vintage stock, in excellent condition.
From the 1950s, matches the watch perfectly.
It is a BUND strap, with a fixed leather section attached to the case back.

Burgundy/brown in color, with contrasting stitching.

A good investment…
Given its age—approximately 70–80 years—this watch should not be submerged (for safety reasons…).
The watch is ready to wear once the crystal is replaced. An authentic piece characteristic of mid-century Swiss watchmaking, featuring its original calendar complications (date hand + day of the week via the bezel).

We do NOT guarantee ANY watch against submersion; we sell collectible pieces, and the buyer must take care of them.
