Glazed ceramic vase by Marius Bessone (1929–2001), made in Vallauris.
Baluster shape with a cylindrical body, pronounced shoulder, tapered neck, and flared opening with a wavy rim. The decoration is arranged in successive registers, consisting of geometric motifs, lozenges, friezes, vertical lines, and incised and raised arabesques.
Enamel in shades of brown, ochre, honey, and beige, with darker effects in the recesses of the decoration.
The base bears a signature and incised inscriptions: “Bessone / Vallauris.”
