A rare and beautiful copy in one volume (In12), bound in speckled light-colored calfskin, with a ribbed spine adorned with gilt metal fittings and fleurons in the panels, a red morocco title label, red edges, and marbled endpapers: "Essays on the Honors and Monuments Bestowed Upon Illustrious Scholars Throughout the Centuries. In Which a Brief Account Is Given of the Origin and Progress of the Sciences and the Fine Arts. By Mr. Titon du Tillet, Master of the Household to the late Dauphine, Mother of the King, and Provincial Commissioner of War. In Paris, printed by Jean-Baptiste Coignard and Antoine Boudet, and sold at: At Chaubert’s, at the entrance to the Quai des Augustins; Mrs. Pissot, Quai Conti; and Jean de Nully, at the Palais.
