Monstrance - Reliquary With A Theca For The Relics Of Saints From The Neo-gothic Period, Bavaria, 19th Century

A reliquary monstrance made of gilded and patinated bronze, resting on an openwork, multi-lobed base. The upper section, designed as a miniature Gothic structure, features arcades, pinnacles, fleurons, and a tall spire topped with a cross.

In the center, a circular, glass-covered reliquary capsule contains three small relics of saints and martyrs, accompanied by their handwritten labels, including “De Pallio S. Joseph, Ex Domo BMV et S. Vincentii a Paulo” (St. Vincent de Paul). The capsule is sealed on the reverse with an ecclesiastical seal. Two angels flank the reliquary, which is surmounted by a statuette of the Virgin in prayer.
