The first figure, with her hair pulled up, adjusts her hairstyle with one hand while the other holds the folds of her drapery.
The second, with long, wavy hair, holds her hands to her chest in a delicate and modest pose.

Both sculptures feature meticulous rendering of the drapery, with numerous supple folds and effects of movement.
The faces, hairstyles, and poses are in keeping with the neoclassical style inspired by ancient statuary.

Each statue rests on a circular marble base. Together, they form a
particularly elegant decorative pair.
