Large Mahogany Desk – Empire Style – Leather Top – Side Drawers

Elegant and imposing mahogany console table, crafted in the Empire style / Brought back from Egypt, featuring beautiful proportions and a particularly decorative design.

The large rectangular top is upholstered in burgundy red leather, divided into three sections and accented by an elegant gold frieze with fine engraving.

It is complemented by two side pull-outs, each upholstered in green leather with gilded decoration, which significantly increase the work surface.

The front features five drawers: a large central drawer and four drawers arranged in pairs on either side.

They are fitted with lock openings and bronze handles.

The desk rests on four column-style legs, adorned with gilded bronze rings.

They are joined at the base by a remarkable X-shaped brace with wide, curved crossbars, giving the piece a silhouette that is both elegant and monumental.

This desk is designed to be placed in the center of a room, as its back is also ornately carved.

Some marks, wear, and signs of use are visible, particularly on the leather, as shown in the photographs.
