Small anthropomorphic figure carved from wood, Dogon culture of Mali.
The figure, rendered in a highly stylized manner, features a slender body, arms drawn close to the torso, and a head depicted in a minimalist style. Hardwood with an old brown-black patina and areas of wear.
The irregular surface, signs of use, and minor imperfections attest to its age.
An object with protective or ritual significance, whose function remains difficult to determine outside the context in which it was collected.
