Louis XV-style Walnut Drop-leaf Desk, 20th-century Piece
An elegant Louis XV-style drop-leaf desk, crafted from natural wood and resting on four curved legs.
The front features lovely molded and carved detailing with curves, scrolls, and rocaille motifs, harmoniously highlighting the drop-leaf top as well as the two large lower drawers. The lower, scalloped crossbar is embellished with a central carved motif.
The flap opens to form a desk offering a comfortable writing surface. The interior features several open compartments as well as two small drawers, providing storage for mail and office supplies.
The lower section opens to reveal two large drawers, fitted with circular metal handles decorated with mascarons. The secretary desk also retains its lock and key on the drop-down panel.
