"Louis XV Period Sloping Desk"
Small sloping desk in violet end grain wood marquetry on a satinwood background. The sides and back are inlaid with flowers. The interior, lined with three drawers, is entirely inlaid with satinwood. Stamped Nicolas Petit - Cabinetmaker. Paris. Master, 1761. His mark: N. Petit can be found on a quantity of marquetry and ebony furniture, which prove his taste and talent. Louis XV period
