Ewer in Cut Crystal with Diamond and Hollow Fluting Motifs, the Mount with Collar, Articulated Spout, Lid, and Handle in Silver (84 zolotniks), Chased and Engraved with Louis XVI Inspiration, Decorated with Ribbon Knots, Draperies, Flower Garlands, and Oval Cartouches, the Moving Handle Ornamented with Rosettes and Foliage.
Russian hallmarks on the collar: name of the Court Supplier in Cyrillic « ХЛѢБНИКОВЪ » (Khlebnikov) under the Imperial Printer's warrant (double-headed eagle) and standard 84 zolotniks.

Founded in 1871 by Ivan Khlebnikov in Moscow, the House of Khlebnikov became one of the flagships of artistic goldsmithing of the Russian Empire, receiving the prestigious title of Supplier to the Imperial Court. Renowned for its ceremonial pieces, the manufactory excelled in the refined combination of cut crystal and finely chased silver mounts inspired by the neo-classical or neo-Russian style.
This elegant wine ewer signed Khlebnikov constitutes a fine example of the art of the table under Tsarist Russia, highly sought after for the quality of its chasing and the signature of this prestigious Moscow house
