Rare Louis XIV Coffee Grinder In Carved Walnut Signed Tivalier

Remarkable and rare Louis XIV period table coffee grinder, made of carved walnut and dated from the beginning of the 18th century. The body has a beautiful eight-sided shape with a pronounced curve, characteristic of the great craftsmanship of the end of the reign of Louis XIV. The upper hopper, entirely in patinated iron, has a hinged lid and an elegant half-olive clasp, with a central opening for the introduction of grains. It bears the precious signature of the manufacturer TIVELIER, a guarantee of authenticity and quality. The wrought iron crank, with its beautiful worked curve, ends in a turned wooden handle with a double bulge and a ball at the top. The lower light wood collection drawer is decorated with a wrought iron rosette-shaped pull handle, providing an additional decorative touch. The whole rests on a cast iron base with ball feet. The object has a beautiful patina of age with traces of wear perfectly consistent with its age. Note, a small, neat restoration on the drawer molding, reported transparently by the seller.
