Thomas Bush Hardy (1842–1897) was a prolific painter of seascapes, primarily in watercolor. He painted the coasts of England and the Netherlands, the French ports of the English Channel, and the Venetian Lagoon; in 1884, he was elected to the Royal Society of British Artists.
