André Dignimont (1891-1965) was a French illustrator, painter, and engraver, renowned for his watercolors and drawings celebrating feminine beauty and Parisian life. Biography: Born on August 22, 1891, in Paris, André Pierre Jean Dignimont was the son of a wine merchant. After attending the Collège de Juilly, he continued his studies in England at Craven College, Beckenham, where he met the future actor André Luguet. Upon his return to France, he completed three years of military service followed by four years of war. After the First World War, he became a student of Tony Robert-Fleury at the Académie Julian. Settling in Montmartre, he frequented Parisian artistic circles alongside Jean-Gabriel Domergue, Roger de la Fresnaye, Louis Marcoussis, Robert Lotiron, and André Warnod. (FR.WIKIPEDIA.ORG)
