18th-century Regency-style Carved Oak Paneled Display Bookcase
Carved oak.
Set on a baseboard, this piece opens with two large molded doors carved with flowers and foliage.
The lower panels are solid, while the upper panels are open, featuring a wire lattice that has been more recently fitted with pivoting glass panes.
Pediment with acanthus palmette motifs.
Overhanging cornice.
Inside, there are 4 shelves, ideal for storing books or other items.
In good overall condition. The end of the cornice is beveled.
The baseboard appears to have been redone in the early 20th century.
