Very nice pair of gilt bronze candlesticks signed by the master bronzier Henri Picard (1840-1890). Richly chiseled ornamentation in the Napoleon III style with profusion of acanthus leaves, staples, curves and counter-curves as well as blank cartouches on the base. They are both signed H Picard. Very bright original gilding with a beautiful patina, some drippings of candle wax to finish cleaning in the details. Napoleon III period around 1870-1880. Delivery 18 euros in France, 35 euros in the EU and 60 euros rest of the world.
