Pair of large 19th century candlesticks in chiseled and patinated bronze decorated with marabouts resting on an ivy terrace and supporting a water lily stem. Bronzer and gilder under Emperor Napoleon II1, Henri Picard reveals here an unusual subject in his production. Signed H. Picard under the base, traces of wax and slight wear. One shows a little play at the level of the mouthpiece.
