Light Cherry Wood Desk. Louis-philippe Period, 19th Century.

An elegant center desk made of solid light cherry wood, dating from the Louis-Philippe period, mid-19th century.

Beautifully proportioned, it features a large rectangular framed top composed of several wide cherry wood planks that reveal a lovely grain and a warm, light patina.

The lower section opens at the front with two large drawers, offering ample storage space. They are fitted with drop-down metal handles.
The desk rests on four turned legs, which are particularly elegant, accented with rings and bulges characteristic of provincial furniture from this period.

Its understated lines, the quality of the cherry wood, and its generous dimensions make this piece both decorative and perfectly functional.
Designed to be placed in the center of a room, it can be used as a center desk, a large work table, or a library table.

The cherry wood has a beautiful, warm, antique patina.
