Silver-plated tray – 19th century

Elegant silver-plated serving tray, beautifully presented, with a flowing, scalloped shape, set against a rich Louis XV-style decoration.

The rim is adorned with fillet molding and numerous relief ornaments featuring foliage, shells, and rocaille scrolls. The two side handles, generously openwork and finely molded, feature a particularly intricate design of foliage and volutes.

The bottom of the tray is entirely adorned with a delicate engraving of floral and botanical motifs—including scrolls, foliage, flowers, and floral cartouches—arranged around an elegant central medallion. This medallion features a richly rendered “B” monogram, set within a border of foliage and palmettes. The composition, highly decorative and perfectly symmetrical, attests to particularly meticulous engraving work.

Beautiful craftsmanship, with abundant and refined decoration characteristic of high-quality pieces from the second half of the 19th century.

Condition: in good overall condition, with some signs of wear and oxidation/patina due to age, which do not detract from the overall elegance.
