Mahogany Nightstand Or Side Table By Jacques Hauville, Circa 1960
An elegant nightstand that can also serve as a side table or end table, crafted from solid mahogany and mahogany veneer, created by French designer Jacques Hauville and produced by Roche Bobois in the early 1960s.
This model stands out for the purity of its modernist lines and the high quality of its craftsmanship. It rests on straight legs connected by an H-shaped brace, which provides excellent stability. The upper section features a slightly recessed top, typical of Scandinavian and modernist furniture of that era.
On the front, the piece opens with a drawer adorned with two original turned wooden knobs that highlight the organic minimalism of Hauville’s design.
Condition: Excellent condition for its age, with a beautiful original patina and only superficial, discreet signs of wear. The bottom of the drawer is lined with red felt that has a few stains.
