Poterie Du Colombier – Glazed Stoneware Salad Bowl

A beautiful hand-thrown stoneware salad bowl from the Poterie du Colombier, featuring a low, generously proportioned circular shape typical of the studio’s artisanal production. The piece is particularly remarkable for its interior glaze, with deep shades of turquoise and petrol blue, achieved through the use of pigments and glazes characteristic of the studio’s color palette. The blue, applied here in broad drips and irregular patches, contrasts with the unglazed clay left in its natural beige and fawn tones. The design also features beautiful, deliberately free-flowing brown-black drips, which reflect the artisanal craftsmanship and the reactions of the glaze during firing. This controlled irregularity gives each piece its unique character. Blue is one of the particularly recognizable hues in certain pieces produced by the workshop. The reverse side of the piece bears the handwritten inscription “Poterie du Colombier,” with “France” written below. Dimensions:
