A large mahogany-veneered sideboard of fine quality, featuring thirteen numbered drawers, each individually fitted using traditional cabinetmaking techniques. Eleven drawers retain their original garnet velvet lining, featuring 24 large compartments, 13 small compartments, and a compartment designed for a ladle or serving utensil, offering exceptional total storage capacity. The last two drawers, fully lined with burgundy velvet, are left open to accommodate serving pieces or larger items. The brass handles are original, as are the wooden drawer slides and dovetail joints. The sides, also veneered in mahogany and accented with a fine fillet, attest to the particularly meticulous craftsmanship of the early 20th century. This complete piece is in excellent condition and is ideal for storing a large silverware collection.
