Set Of Six Chairs With Backs, Louis XIII Style, 1900
Set of Six High-Backed Chairs in Turned Wood – Circa 1900
A beautiful set of six high-backed chairs, dating from the 1900s.
They feature an elegant turned and molded wood frame, resting on four legs joined by a set of turned crossbars, forming a base that is both sturdy and particularly decorative.
The tall rectangular backs and seats are upholstered and covered in a striped fabric in shades of green, ochre, and orange, secured with upholstery tacks. The warm tones of the upholstery harmonize beautifully with the wood’s lovely brown patina.
The slender proportions of the backs and the craftsmanship of the various turned elements lend these chairs a great deal of character.
A beautiful, cohesive set of six chairs, ideal for surrounding a large dining table.
