18th-century Regency-style Oak Cabinet
Regency Oak Cabinet – 18th Century
Beautiful Regency cabinet made of solid oak, dating from the 18th century, featuring a particularly ornate and elegant front.
It opens with two large doors featuring molded panels, the upper sections of which are intricately carved with scrollwork, foliage, and floral motifs characteristic of the Regency decorative style.
The two central panels are adorned with finely carved flower baskets, surrounded by volutes and foliage. The piece as a whole displays beautiful symmetry and particularly decorative carving.
The upper section is crowned by a substantial, heavily projecting molded cornice, accentuated by a remarkable dentil frieze that lends the cabinet a commanding presence.
The sides are also meticulously paneled. The back, consisting of wide antique planks assembled on crossbars, attests to its traditional 18th-century construction.
The interior offers ample storage space and features several shelves.
A beautiful 18th-century Regency cabinet, notable as much for the quality of its construction as for the richness of its carved decoration and its fine proportions.
