An oval miniature painted on paper depicting a woman in a bust portrait, with powdered hair and wearing a dress with a red and green bodice, draped in pale pink fabric.
The portrait is distinguished by the delicacy of the face, the attention to detail in the hairstyle, and the rendering of the fabrics.
The miniature is preserved under glass in its original black frame with an oval opening, accented by a gold interior border. The reverse retains its original mounting paper and hanging loop.
In fine vintage condition, with wear and signs of age on the frame and paper deterioration on the reverse, visible in the photographs.
