Raymond Brenot, Four Illustrations For "flesh As A Prayer Rug"

Illustrations by Raymond Brenot, printed in color on paper to illustrate the curiosities Jeou-P’ou-T’ouanor Flesh as a Prayer Rug, published by Jean-Jacques Pauvert, known as Rouputuan, Huiquanbao, and Juehouchan in Chinese—a 17th-century Chinese erotic novel published under a pseudonym but generally attributed to Li Yu. The work is said to have been written in 1657 and published in 1693 during the Qing Dynasty. It was published in Japan in 1705 under the title Nikufuton with a preface stating that it was the greatest erotic novel of all time.
