Small in folio, in sheets, folded covers. “This book contains 59 original plates by Léon Courbouleix, whose ornaments, text & illustrations were etched. Each plate was printed in several colors on the artist's hand press. The capital letters were enhanced with blue gouache and gold by hand. The edition includes: Five copies on old china paper (1 to 5), each containing, in addition to the work, a red chalk suite, a suite before the letter, two original drawings & the proof of two rejected plates. Fifteen copies on old china paper (6 to 20), each containing, in addition to the work, a red chalk suite & an original drawing. Two hundred copies with arches. Copy: 3 “Blue marbled ribbed casing: 26.5 × 34.5 cm, Thickness: 5 cm. Good condition.
