Pair Of Large 6-light Candelabras Featuring Victory Figures, In Patinated And Gilded Bronze; Napoleon III Period

Pair of large 6-light candelabra with Victory figures, in patinated and gilded bronze — Napoleon III period, Empire style
This remarkable pair of large candelabras draws direct inspiration from the neoclassical designs of the First Empire period (in the style of Pierre-Philippe Thomire).

Central figures: Each candelabrum features an elegant draped female figure in bronze with a brown patina (evoking Victory or a classical allegory), balancing on a gilded bronze sphere.
Lighting Arms & Branches: The figures hold aloft a gilded laurel wreath from which rise six lighting arms featuring fluted shafts and volutes with acanthus scrolls. The chiseled lamp heads are enhanced with original gilding.
Pedestal: The piece rests on a chiseled cylindrical shaft surmounting a molded square base.
