Marie-Anne Ichanson (1889–1964), born in Albi (Tarn), was a painter of landscapes, still lifes, and genre scenes in the 20th-century French school. A student of the famous Toulouse painter Jean-Paul Laurens, she moved to Paris and became a member of the prestigious Salon des Artistes Français, where she exhibited regularly during the interwar period. Her works demonstrate a great mastery of light and landscape composition.
The artwork is in very good overall condition. The frame features a superb original golden patina. We also offer another work by the same artist.
