Biedermeier Display Cabinet, Two-door, Solid Cherry Wood, Southern Germany, 1825
A two-door display cabinet from the Biedermeier period, made of cherry wood. The body has a simple design and is topped by a projecting cornice with ebonized panels. The cabinet rests on tapered legs.
The two doors are glazed at the top and feature three muntins; the lower panels are solid. Ebonized lock rosettes serve as decorative elements. The door hardware is made of solid brass and is visible.
The interior is fitted with shelves and is suitable for glassware, porcelain, books, or collectibles. The display cabinet has been professionally restored and is ready for use.
