Cement dove, painted and repainted white, France, second half of the 20th century.
Perched on a half-sphere, this dove—intended to decorate a garden—has weathered many seasons, as its beautiful patina undeniably shows. Nevertheless, it remains in very good condition, despite a crack caused by weather conditions (see photo; this does not compromise the object’s structural integrity). It’s quite heavy—6 kg, no less—whereas a real one weighs no more than 300 g! Just as beautiful indoors as outdoors, I’ll leave it up to future buyers to decide where to place it.
