Neo‑gothic Tabernacle Door With Gilded Bronze Last Supper Plaque, France Ca. 1880

A richly detailed Neo‑Gothic tabernacle door from France, dating to around 1880 and centred with an expressive gilded bronze relief of the Last Supper. The arched frame, ornamental moulding and hinged construction evoke the devotional architecture of late‑19th‑century ecclesiastical design, while the bronze plaque brings sculptural depth through its finely modelled figures, drapery and interior setting.

The warm gilding enhances the relief’s dramatic contrasts and highlights the craftsmanship typical of French religious metalwork of the period. The door retains its original key mechanism, adding both authenticity and historical charm. It presents beautifully as a standalone devotional object, a sculptural wall piece, or an architectural fragment within a curated interior.

There are a few small signs of use, appropriate to its age and liturgical history, without detracting from its decorative or historical value.
