School of Bernard Palissy, Fontainebleau or Pré d’Auge—Oval dish with a scalloped rim on a glazed earthenware foot, featuring a polychrome decoration of a seated young woman symbolizing “Flora.” She is depicted under a tree with garden attributes against a background of a landscape and a castle; the rim features interlaced motifs on a brown background. The reverse of the dish is mottled.

Firing shrinkage, slight wear, a section restored on the lower part.

and fleurons; the center and reverse feature a marbled background. 17th century.
Fractured and re-glued.
