Pair Of Blue Glass Tripod Vases – Attributed To Auguste Jean
Enameled and Gold-Accented Decor – Japanese-Inspired / Art Nouveau Style
A superb and rare pair of small tripod vases made of blown glass in turquoise blue and azure blue, attributed to the famous master glassmaker Auguste Jean (late 19th century, circa 1880–1890).
Each piece features a flowing, fluted neck (with a ruffled effect in clear glass) and rests on three hot-applied tripod feet. The bulbous body features a rich polychrome enamel decoration accented with gilding, depicting friezes of stylized ribbons, floral motifs, and clover leaves inspired by Orientalist and Japanese styles.
