Beautiful Antique Caucasian Tribal Rug With Surprising Asymmetrical Design

Beautiful Caucasian rug (142× 86 cm), made by villagers or nomads,
warp and pile from wool, with distinct geometric patterns on a midnight blue background.
About two-thirds of the way across the rug, design opens up, becoming lighter and more floral, and colors shift subtly, with more red—perhaps a special commission or a change in weaver’s hand.
This asymmetry gives our small rug a distinct personality; it is truly a tribal rug, some adventure not intended for commercial sale, and I believe that is quite rare.
A close-up of the knotting reveals a relatively fine structure and meticulous workmanship. I counted about 35 knots per decimeter.
It seems to me that this rug is quite old—19th century or circa 1900—as the red wool is more worn than the other colors.
Since I’m not an expert, I won’t risk specifying a precise geographical location; my customers often know more than I do.
Shows signs of use and wear, but has no flaws, cuts, or restorations. Sincere rug.
