Set of antique amethyst jewelry (half set) in yellow gold, late 19th century.
A collection of amethyst jewelry including an
18-karat gold ring set with a rectangular stone, approximately
10 mm wide, P cut, total gross weight of approximately
3.1 g, as well as a hexagon-cut amethyst brooch
made of unhallmarked yellow metal, whose surface analysis
indicates it is 9-karat gold, approximately 57 mm long with a hinged clasp,
and a pair of dangling amethyst earrings set with round
and pear-shaped stones, made of unhallmarked yellow metal,
approximately 18 mm long with hooks, with a combined gross weight
of approximately 6 g, all presented in a custom-made jewelry box. Other
details: all stones are present and intact; a few
scratches on the amethyst in the ring; slight tarnish
and signs of wear consistent with its age.
