Works by Balande are now held in major French public collections, notably “Un beau jour d’été, 1921 ” (National Museum of Modern Art) and “Improvisation, 1923” (Pau Museum of Fine Arts). The success of these large-scale scenes earned them public commissions for the ocean liners “Normandie” and “De Grasse,” as well as for a school in the La Rochelle region and the Aubervilliers City Hall. The Cathedral of Segovia, also known as the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Assumption and Saint Fructus, is a Roman Catholic cathedral located in the Spanish city of Segovia. The church is dedicated to the Assumption of the Virgin Mary and to Saint Fructus. Built in the Flamboyant style, it was consecrated in 1768 and is one of the last Gothic cathedrals in Europe.
