MEN'S BREASTPLATE, NEZ PERCE TRIBE, PLAIN INDIANS

Length: approx. 45 cm
Men’s breastplate, consisting of three horizontal rows of bone tubes called hairpipes. The central row is adorned with garnet beads.
The rows are held in place by vertical leather straps, from which leather cords and green beads hang. The left side is adorned with a round mirror mounted on felt, and the right side features a shell disc.
A few down feathers, dyed red, highlight the color coordination with the felt.
Very good condition.
