Important 18th-century Delft Earthenware Set

An important set of Delftware featuring a monochrome blue decoration on a white background, in the Chinese style, dating from the 18th century. This set consists of a large lidded jar and a pair of vases converted into lamps. Shaped like hexagonal balusters, these three pieces feature a rich decoration of landscapes populated by dignitaries, sages, and servants set against a lush natural backdrop of Chinese pines (a symbol of longevity), rocks, and mist... These scenes are framed by foliage scrolls, peonies, pomegranates (a symbol of abundance), and stylized lotus flowers.
The two lamps are topped with pleated, lined fabric lampshades.
In good condition; there is a chip on the lid of the vase; the vases were previously trimmed (visible in the photos); the electrical wiring has been redone.
