A 1900s Art Nouveau lamp. The sculpture depicts a woman surrounded by flowers. The base is decorated with nasturtium leaves, blending the hem of the woman's dress to form the typically Art Nouveau figure, complete with a chignon hairstyle. She supports three vegetal arms that hold the opaline glass shade. The base is incised with the inscription "Les lumières de Nancy" (The Lights of Nancy). This sculptural lamp is the work of Lucien Alliot, born into a family of artists. He studied at the École des Beaux-Arts under Louis-Ernest Barrias and Jules Coutan. The lamp is electrified and in working order. Total height: 41 cm. Height of base only: 28 cm. Diameter: 19 cm.
